The Montessori method is an approach to learning. Dr. Maria Montessori designed specialized materials to teach the child individually. The teaching material is designed to explore the foundations for understanding. The Montessori method has been proven effective through the years because it is as much an attitude about education and children as it is a specific method.
The classroom is designed to provide an environment which is stimulating to both mental and physical growth. Such an atmosphere places at the child's disposal sensorial and didactic materials that complement the child's natural curiosity. As a result, this combination provides the opportunity to form a positive foundation for all future learning.
Our education design creates an environment that belongs to the child. The student is encouraged to explore, create, experience, grow and succeed in his/her efforts. The easily accessible materials are spaced around the room, providing experiences necessary to help each child learn in his/her own unique learning style.
